Instrument: piano solo.
The Sonate was written after a discussion about form. In this bundle,
my purpose was to write something that undoubtably sounded as a sonata but mocked
the rules – in particular the classic ones.
The discussion was after hearing one of the sonatas of Sergej Prokofjev and I cannot deny
that the Introduction was inspired by him.
Rules should be to facilitate writing; never obstacles.
